Position Title: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Fulltime, minimum of 40 hours per week)
Reporting to: VP Legal & Gov’t Public Affairs, VP Finance & VP Technology Licensing
Location: Deerfield, IL

(www.cargill.com), Renessen utilizes Monsanto’s capabilities in plant breeding and biotechnology research and development and Cargill’s expertise in animal nutrition, grain processing and logistics.
The Administrative Assistant is accountable for providing administrative support to Renessen Team members, in particular, the VP Legal & Government Public Affairs, VP Finance, VP Technology Licensing and their direct reports.

• Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with people across the organization
• Manage daily work processes and ensure commitments are met
• Handle multiple priorities and sensitive information
• Deliver computer and technical expertise in word processing, graphics, spreadsheets and database applications
• Design, prepare, send and retrieve business documents, presentations and correspondence
• Specific duties include: calendar management, meeting scheduling, phone support, worldwide travel
planning, presentation development, follow up on assignments and deadlines, and web site research
• Computer applications used at Renessen: Microsoft Office, Windows , MS Outlook

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team environment
• Ability to interact with our Governance Board and professionals at third parties
• Three to five years of secretarial experience
• Evidence of ongoing training and learning to enhance administrative interpersonal and technical competencies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact with our Governance Board members and professionals at 3rd parties.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle an ever changing environment, while maintaining a positive work attitude
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Excellent time management skills, as evidenced by prioritizing, planning and completing assignments
• Ability to manage details and coordinate complex scheduling of domestic and international travel
• Demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and initiative
• Excellent organizational and customer service oriented skills
• Handle confidential information in a professional manner
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Significant volume of work involving MS Power Point and requiring application and troubleshooting skills in designing and delivering presentations
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to speak Latin American Spanish or Mandarin Chinese a plus
